Soto Bandung Iga
Thursday, August 2, 2018
Soto Bandung is one of the easiest Soto variant that I can make- in my opinion it is even way easier than classic Soto Ayam. Since my husband prefer rib, i use cut ribs as the basic broth. Traditionally, the broth is made of chunk of meat. Since rib would make a thicker broth, so you might want to add more water.

Ayam Pop Padang |
This chicken dish is a quite famous Padang culinary. It's a simple fried chicken, marinated with coconut water so it has a distinctive sweet and spicy flavor. My favourite place to have Ayam Pop is at Restoran Garuda Pondok Indah or Sederhana restaurant. However, I try to create one and it turns out very easy and yummy. So if you like Ayam Pop why don't you give it a try to make this?
Sambal Kerecek: Buffalo Skin Crackers in Coconut Milk and Chilli Marinade

Sambal Kerecek |
Sambal kerecek is a typical Yogyakarta dan Central Java dish. Kerecek is a kind of crackers made from the inner skin layer of buffalo. In this savory dish, the kerecek is soaked with spices, chili and coconut milk marinade. The krecek will absorb all the spices, and you might want to add more salt, terasi (fermented prawn) and pepper during the cooking process. Sambal kerecek is frequently served with gudeg (jackfruit stew) and opor- and it's surely a delicious one. If you like spicy food, I think you should give sambal kerecek a try. Please excuse my translation of sambal kerecek, I couldn't find a better one.^^

Semur Ayam |
Hello! I created this recipe posting because my friend, Kate, a good friend of mine frequently asked me how to cook Indonesian dishes. We met each other during one of surgery workshop in France. During that cold moment and feeling tired after work in our lab, we went to Indonesia restaurant and she fell in love with the food ever since. I never actually type my recipes until she asked me to email her, then I realized I already collect more than 20 recipes!!
Anyway, I decide to archive these recipes here in this little blog. Most of the recipes is from my family, some experiment from internet etc. Please link back to me if you want to use my recipes in your blog. My photography skill is sort of limited and perhaps you would find my English is not that well-understood, but I still use original bahasa Indonesia terms in the recipes. Enjoy!

• 5 Bay leaf/ 5 lembar daun salam
• Around 3 cm of galangal~ crushed/1 telunjuk jari lengkuas ukuran besar, kupas, geprek
• A pinch of salt/Garam secukupnya
Cara membuat:
– rebus daging dengan air yang cukup banyak sampai mendidih (mirip bikin kaldu)
